The "Fire"

This year’s Chili Contest will take place at the Relief Fire House on Pine Street in downtown Mount Holly, the oldest continuously operating Fire House in the country. To enter the cook-off, registration is open Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. and both amateurs and professionals are invited to display their skills. The public is invited to taste the entries after the judging takes place, which will begin at noon.

Chili judging: 10:00 AM not open to the pubic

Public taste test: Noon

 

The "Ice"

The Ice Carving Festival will be taking place outdoors, in the Business District on High Street and in the Mill Race Village on White Street, where visitors can watch as professional and amateur ice carvers transform 300 pound blocks of ice into beautiful crystalline works of art. The carving begins at 10:30 a.m. and continues until the judging ends at 3:00 p.m.
