Staff Biographies

MSMH Staff Lynn Scocroft - Executive Director
Lynn has a history of proven success in township and regional promotions. For more than a decade she has provided leadership to all facets of chamber and business promotional programs. Lynn has consistently demonstrated the ability to cultivate productive relationships, garner volunteer support, foster cooperation among those with competing interests, and solicit financial and merchandise contributions. Utilizing skills of organization, industry knowledge and follow-through, Lynn has optimized visibility of her community to a target market. An effective communicator, she works with and through others to gain support and timely completion of tasks and remotely and directly manages multiple projects concurrently.

Alicia McShulkis - Special Events Coordinator:
Alicia McShulkis is a Mount Holly resident and an active volunteer with MSMH since its inception. As past Design Committee Chairperson, Alicia oversaw improvements to the Cross Creek Alley and earned MSMH & the MH Historical Society a Suburban Greening Award for her work at Fountain Square. As Special Events Coordinator, Alicia brings with her 15 years of retail management and promotion experience as well has her background as a chairperson for the Mount Holly Historic House Tour and MSMH Garden Tour. In 2006 Alicia was given a Proclamation by Mount Holly Township for her volunteer work in the community. When not working on MSMH events, Alicia works as a volunteer Gardener with Burlington County Master Gardeners and is presently writing a book on renowned botanist Carl Linnaeus.

Jean Messina - President
Jean Messina is a long time Mount Holly resident and supporter of historic Mount Holly. Jean has a history of caring for the community both professionally as a nurse and most recently as a volunteer. Her volunteer activities include: Past Chairperson of the Burlington County College Holiday Auction Committee, Second Directress of the Female Benevolent Association of Mount Holly, and a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. When not active with MSMH, Jean enjoys spending time with Mount Holly’s favorite little Yorkies, Frodo & Kayla.

Susan Ryan - Vice President
Susan Ryan is a Preservation Architect with Martin Jay Rosenblum in Philadelphia who brings 13 years preservation experience to the MSMH Design Committee. Susan specializes in historic property assessments, design and building code issues, historic property certifications and rehabilitation grant proposals. Susan is a member of the American Institute of Architect’s Preservation Committee, the Philadelphia Community Design Collaborative, and Preservation New Jersey.

William Gee - Treasurer
Bill Gee currently serves as the Cash Control Coordinator for Munich Re-Insurance America and holds an MBA in Accounting from the University of Phoenix . Bill has been an active participant in the Live Music scene as a booking agent/producer at Home Fine Art Gallery (Home Stage) and the Robin’s Nest Restaurant through “One Room Productions”. Bill is also an active member of Mount Holly Lodge, F&AM. Bill’s other interests include booking music for Legends Pizza in Burlington City , and he is also active with the planning committee for the first annual “Burlington/Bristol Sister City Festival” scheduled for July 2008.

Allan Hollowell - Secretary
Allan Hollowell is a Mount Holly resident and an Uber volunteer with MSMH. Allan received the MSMH Volunteer of the Year award in 2006 for his work with the Design Committee. In addition to creating cool MSMH decals and posters for us, Allan serves on the Garden Tour committee, and is a guide with MSMH’s Friday the 13th Ghost Tours. Look for Allan around town on his unicycle.

Jan Bastien - Board Member
Jan Bastien is probably best known in Mount Holly for originating the Haunted Holly Ghost Tours and for her book The Ghosts of Mount Holly: A History of Haunted Happenings. Jan is a freelance writer, providing professional public relations, business and advertising copy for businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Jan's company, PM Writing Services, services clients in many industries, and she has also published non-fiction articles in many print and online publications. Also the editor and a contributing writer for The Big Berry, the official newsletter of MSMH, Jan's efforts in promoting her hometown have won her annual awards for Promotions and Prime Committee volunteer since 2005. She is a 2006 graduate of Main Street's Downtown Revitalization Institute. Jan also volunteers with the Burlington County Animal Alliance, a non-profit animal rescue group for which she coordinates publicity and fundraising events. She is a member of the Greater Mount Holly Business and Professional Association and the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners. Jan also owns Pink Moon Studio Yoga and provides private and public yoga classes for students of all ages and abilities. Catch some weekend Zen with her Saturday morning class at Mount Holly's Home Fine Art in Mill Race Village.

Angela Gonzales - Board Member
Angela Gonzales is the Executive Director of Servicios Latinos de Burlington County a non-profit organization offering assistance to the Hispanic community in Burlington County. As a social service liaison with the Mount Holly Gardens Community Center, Angela provides an important link to the Hispanic Community in Mount Holly and Spanish-speaking businesses in the downtown. In addition to her work with MSMH, Angela is the founder of the Coalition of Latino Leaders, a board member with the Burlington County Human Service Advisory Board, the Community Assessment Advisory Group, and the Drenk Foundation. Her commitment to the community has earned Angela numerous awards including: 2006 Woman of Inspiration Award by Burlington County College, 2004 Woman of Achievement Award by the NJ Federation of Women’s Clubs, 2003 Women Who Inspire Us Award by Women’s Day Magazine & Dove Soap, and 2002 Woman of the Year Award Burlington County.

Phil Haines - Board Member
Phil Haines is currently serving as the County Clerk for Burlington County. As part of the MSMH board of directors, Phil serves as an important link between the downtown business community and the 2000+ county employees working in Mount Holly. As a former Burlington County Freeholder, Phil is experienced in many economic development initiatives including: the revitalization of the Route 130 Corridor, the Roebling Steel Mill, and the construction of the BCC Enterprise Center.

John Heitmann - Board Member/ Ex-officio President
John Heitmann has been active with MSMH since its inception, helping with the original Main Street application and serving as the first MSMH president in 2002. As the owner of MacSultants (an Apple Computer consulting firm), John provides valuable technical assistance to MSMH including web hosting and e-mail services. John’s recent improvements to his headquarters at 34 Mill Street and the neighboring historic Redman’s Hall building are evidence of his commitment to revitalize Mount Holly’s historic downtown. His investments have resulted in the creation of several new businesses including The Yoga Generation and Red Carpet Cakes. In addition to his work with MSMH, John serves as the board president of the Lenape Regional School District and served as past president of the Medford Lakes Lions Club.

Joe Jones - Board Member
Joe Jones is the owner of G.W. Lippincott’s Supply, a masonry and building supply company that has been a part of Joe’s family and the Mount Holly business community since 1901. Joe has been an active volunteer and leader in Mount Holly for many years, serving as a Mount Holly council member from 1989-93. Joe is also a member of the Mount Holly Rotary Club and the Greater Mount Holly Business & Professional Association. When not assisting local homeowners and builders with their projects, Joe can be seen at local venues playing the drums in his band “Sloppy and the Joes.”

James M. O'Neill - Board Member
Jim O'Neill, a long-time resident of Mount Holly, is a vice president of Hill International, Inc., a worldwide construction consulting firm. A native of Woodbridge, NJ, Jim is a lawyer, has served on several corporate boards of directors, and even worked in private practice in Washington, D.C. for some 20 years before moving back to New Jersey and Mount Holly. Jim is married to the former Pat Hunt, who grew up in Mount Holly and whose family of farmers, business owners, professionals and politicians goes back several generations in the area. Their daughters, Molly and Patricia, graduated from RV and the family has remained active in local events and organizations. Jim was invited to join the MSMH Board last December and he looks forward to sharing his background and experience while learning about and participating in the plans and projected future for Mount Holly.

David Perinchief - Board Member
David Perinchief is a lifelong Mount Holly resident and the owner of Perinchief Chapels in Mount Holly. Anyone who encounters David is immediately taken in by tales of “days gone by” in Mount Holly and his love of the town. David is a member of the Mount Holly Rotary Club where he is famous for his sense of humor and baritone singing.

Darlene Scocca - Board Member
Darlene Scocca is the current Mayor of our sister Main Street community, Burlington City. She comes to the MSMH board as a representative from the Burlington County Office of Economic Development where she serves as the County’s Economic Development Representative. Darlene is an experienced board member, serving on various boards throughout Burlington County including the Burlington County YMCA, SJ Tourism Corporation, Businesses Committed to Burlington County, Delaware River Regional Tourism Council, and the NJLM Mayor’s Association. As the founder and chairperson of Burlington City’s Festival of Lights event, Darlene understands the relationship between tourism and events as revitalization tools.

Regan Young, AIA - Board Member
Regan Young is founding partner of Regan Young England Butera: Referendums, Engineering, Architecture, Design (aka “RYEBREAD”), a Mount Holly-based firm whose counsel is “Reinvest in Your Community!” As past president of MSMH, Leadership New Jersey Fellow, and organizer of First Night Burlington County, he certainly follows his own advice. Regan is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Builders League of South Jersey, Burlington County Chamber of Commerce, Congress for New Urbanism, and Rotary Club of Mount Holly. Regan’s firm recently made the news for incorporating geodesic domes into their design of the Eastampton Community School. (A dome also caps the RYEBREAD headquarters in Mount Holly.) He has left his mark on many of the early Main Street initiatives, and is responsible for naming the MSMH newsletter “The Big Berry” and the membership levels “Daffodil,” “Mountie,” and “Groundhog.”

Committee Chairs

Audrey Winzinger - Economic Restructuring Chairperson
Audrey Winzinger was following the Main Street principles in Mount Holly before we even had a Main Street Organization! Along with members of her family Audrey established the Mill Race Village Arts & Preservation district. This unique village of 15 shops served as a catalyst for the Main Street Program in Mount Holly. As a member of the Urban Enterprise Zone for the past eleven years Audrey was instrumental in Mount Holly’s designation as a Main Street Community. As ER Chairperson, Audrey has spearheaded downtown data collections, market research, business training/assistance, foot-traffic promotions, and recommended ordinance changes which benefit the downtown business district. Audrey is also founder and co-chair of the Fire & Ice Festival. When she is not working tirelessly on revitalizing Mount Holly, Audrey can be found teaching riding lessons at her farm, Tustin Farm in Hainesport.

Walt Zeigler - Design Committee Chairperson
Walt Zeigler is an Architect with Sun Architects in Mount Holly who brings 19 years of design experience to the MSMH Design Committee. Walt has worked on award winning Urban and Community Revitalization projects in both Gloucester County and Camden, NJ with an emphasis on innovative downtown living spaces made possible by public private partnership.
