Performing Arts

The music signature of the Philadelphia region as been a creative mix of blues and jazz. With the popularization of the folk style, our jazzy heritage has now been married with the likes of Bob Dylan and other folk greats creating the "Philadelphia Sound". More and more local artists blend jazz with rock, folk, and blues creating a completely new sound. Now, you don't have to fight the traffic and crowds to hear great music! Mount Holly houses four different intimate music venues each of a different flavor.

Do you play? Apply to play at one of our venues, or just join in a jam session! There's lots of musical options for the novice to professional in Mount Holly!

The Delaware River Folksong Fellowship
"acoustic folk and beyond..."

All are welcome to perform music in the round, share in refreshments and network with other musicians. This is an acoustic venue for musicians of all ages and skill to join in and share their music in a supportive, friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

This group uses a broad brush when it comes to "folk" music, so don't be shy if your songs are on the outer edge of "folk". Small donations are accepted at the meeting to cover the cost of the meeting space, refreshments, office supplies, and dreams like having a website and making a DRFF CD! For those joining in the round, the circle starts promptly at 4pm. A simple introduction of your song is welcome before performing. Please prepare a song which is appropriate to the theme.

Open meeting on 2nd Sundays
Door opens at 3:30pm
Meetings run from 4 - 7pm
